Sacramento, California – Rideshare apps Lyft and Uber offer free or discounted rides to the polls across the nation for Election Day, among other transportation services.
West Sacramento residents have one extra option available. So-called West Sacramento’s pilot program Via and its fleet of Mercedes –Benz vans will take residents to any polling place.
The cost for the transportation is only $ 1.
To get a discount, riders can use the promo code ‘’ WSVOTES’’ for the discount, according to the city website’s ride-share page.
For those who are using the least expensive option for the area will be given $10 off a single ride to the polls today. The promo code for that ride is ‘’VOTE 2018’’.
Another ride-share app, Lyft offers 50 percent off, up to $ 5, which will allow you to save up to $5 dollar per trip on the rides to polling places. Depending on the area the promo codes vary.
